Flattening Test
This test is to check the strength of the welded section by subjecting it to extreme compression stress. If the tested piece withstands the specified compression stress without cracking, it is considered acceptable.

Flaring test (60˚)
The standard procedure for this test is to flare the end of the pipe to a diameter of 1.2 times of the original outside diameter. As shown in the photo on the left, the tube is considered passed if no cracks are found at flared parts.

Flange test (90˚)
This photo shows a test piece subjected to the flange test. There are no cracks on the welded section or on the base metal.

Hydrostatic & Pneumatic Pressure Test
Each length of finished pipe is subject to the hydrostatic or pheumatic pressure test. Each pipe must withstand the pressure without leakage.
